Information and
questions for initiative workgroups
Here is the basic information for the organisers
of the various parts of the programm during the second European PGA conference.
There is also a list of questions which the coordinators of the conference would
like to see completed and returned. We would like you to return the questions
no later than August 1 and to keep us informed after that date of any relevant
changes.
Basic information:
- The structure of the conference days can be
found on: http://squat.net/eurodusnie/pga/werkgroepen.htm
- There are various different conference locations
all within walking distance of each other, with venues that offer space for
between 20 and 350 people each. For the plenary session on the last day, we
have a separate, larger venue. It is possible to spread a programm over more
than one day or parts of a day. Give us a clear and realistic picture of what
you want.
- We have opted for fixed facilitator teams to
help structure the meetings. These facilitator teams will consist of people
to take minutes and people to chair meetings. They will prepare for their
tasks shortly before the conference and ensure that there is a recognisable
‘discussion’ structure, at least for all the theoretical components
of the programm. If you do not want to make use of them, please let us know,
so that we can make other arrangements, for example regarding documentation
of the meeting.
- Summaries of the discussions will appear daily,
in a special conference newspaper.
- There is a video beamer.
- All participants will receive a booklet with
all the information about the programm and the logistical arrangements.
- We are considering making a reader with the
contributions posted on the PGA internet forum http://pga.squat.net/phorum
- We will be conducting the conference in a number
of languages, depending on who is participating. More about this later.
- The workgroups are requested to keep in mind
the ‘gender aspect’ when finalising their contribution to the
PGA conference.
Questions:
- What is the title of your contribution?
- Summarise the topic in a couple of sentences.
- What should we write by way of introduction
in the programm booklet?
- What is the nature of your contribution? Is
it a talk, a forum debate, a discussion, a practical workshop or something
else (namely)…
- How long will it take and do you have a preference
regarding what time of day to hold it?
- Are there special criteria that your venue must
meet?
- Who is your contact person? Please state name,
email and phone number.
- Do you wish to use the facilitator teams, organised
by the conference?
- Are there any additional things of which we
should be aware?
Deadlines:
PLEASE stick to these two deadlines:
August 1 is the deadline for new workgroups and also for returning the questionaire.
August 10 for getting the information for the conference booklet back to us.
