Witboek Kraken aangeboden aan de commissie FIBS

Een Rotterdamse raadscommissie en wethouder Karakus (wonen & ruimtelijke ordening) hebben afgelopen woensdag het Witboek Kraken in ontvangst genomen van een kleine delegatie Rotterdamse krakers. De Rotterdamse krakers roepen de gemeente op om nogmaals de leden der Staten-Generaal en het kabinet te adviseren het kraakverbod af te keuren.

These pages are for everyone interested in squatting in Rotterdam. Mostly they are in English to try to maximise their usefulness for the greatest number of people.

Squatting has always been around in Rotterdam, but the last few years the KraakSpreekUur (see the link for the Squatting FAQ) has become more active. If you want to visit the KraakSpreekUur go to the JiP between 15.00 - 17.00 on Wednesdays at Mathenesserlaan 173.

From a practical point of view Rotterdam is at present quite a good place to squat. There are a number of people and groups into squatting and they are squatting buildings both big and small to live, create, work and party in. Some of these different groups and individuals are meeting up and helping each other.
